Brazilian federal lawmakers Pedro Uczai, Jandira Feghali, André Janones, and Pedro Campos traveled to the United States this week for meetings focused on Brazil-U.S. relations, trade disputes, recent criticism of Brazil's Pix payment system, and allegations involving Banco Master and figures connected to former President Jair Bolsonaro's political circle.
According to the lawmakers, they provided U.S. congressmen with documents containing information related to Banco Master, businessman Daniel Vorcaro, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, and other individuals associated with the group. The delegation claims the materials include information about assets and financial transactions that they believe warrant further review by U.S. authorities.
The lawmakers also stated that some U.S. officials and members of Congress expressed willingness to examine information related to the Banco Master case, including possible financial transactions that may have passed through the American financial system.

Among the issues raised during the meetings were allegations that Flávio Bolsonaro received approximately R$61 million from businessman Daniel Vorcaro for the production of a film about former President Jair Bolsonaro. The delegation requested that authorities review whether any funds connected to the case may have been transferred through U.S.-based financial structures or linked to individuals currently residing in the United States.

The lawmakers further discussed trade relations between Brazil and the United States, criticized tariffs affecting Brazilian exports, and defended Brazil's Pix digital payment system, arguing that it represents a significant technological and financial innovation.

The visit took place in early June and included meetings with members of the U.S. Congress and representatives of international organizations. The delegation said it intends to continue monitoring developments related to the information submitted during its Washington meetings.

Note: The allegations cited by the lawmakers have not been proven in court, and no public announcement has been made by U.S. authorities confirming the opening of a formal investigation.
